  • Do not unironically meow, bark, chirp, etc at me.

  • I may frequently ask for a translation should you have a severe typing quirk.

  • I likely will not speak to you if you frequently use slurs, even if "jokingly" and/or reclaimed.

What is Autism?

  • Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a developmental disability caused by differences in the brain. People with ASD may behave, communicate, interact, and learn in ways that are different from most other people.
    (Ref: cdc.gov)

What does that mean for you?:

  • For me, I struggle heavily with communication. You may notice that I type very formally and write paragraphs in response to people. This is because it is a part of autism to over-explain to ensure the other person is understanding what is being said correctly.

  • Very often, should I try to explain things, people do not understand me or they misinterpret me. The paragraphs help deal with this issue.
So no, I am not indirectly calling you stupid.

  • I am not well-versed in the world of conversations. I may say things that sound rude, inappropriate things, etc. It is important to note that I say things bluntly and do not “sugarcoat” my words. Do not take everything I say personally.

  • You may see me use tone tags for specific tonal indicators. I do not and will not ask anyone to use tone tags as well, but I may ask you what your tone is on the message to ensure I’m reading it correctly.

Please be patient with me and kindly help me understand
if I did something wrong instead of scrutinising me.
Thank you so much for reading!
